The Lewistown News-Argus is seeking a full-time reporter to join its team of professionals who report news of interest in central Montana. 

The News-Argus is a twice-weekly community newspaper that has been serving Lewistown and eight surrounding communities for the past 140 years. Lewistown is a picturesque community of 6,000, surrounded by island mountain ranges and rich agricultural land. If you love the outdoors and want to do meaningful work in Big Sky Country, this is the position for you. 

Applicants should possess good writing skills, work well under deadline, and communicate well with the public. Successful candidates will also have a strong sense of ethics, an appreciation for community news, and be capable of handling multiple tasks at one time.

Newspaper experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right person. Digital storytelling and photography skills are also a plus.

Compensation package includes hourly wage, paid vacation, paid sick leave, health insurance, medical flex plan, health savings account.  Hourly wage will depend on experience.
