Description:
Capitol Beat is seeking a bureau chief for our Statehouse bureau. The mission of Capitol Beat is to provide in-depth, unbiased coverage of state government and fill the void left by a shrinking press corps. We cover state government, including the General Assembly, governor's office, state agencies, and the courts.
A successful candidate will have experience reporting and writing about Georgia government and politics, overseeing a bureau consisting of at least one staff writer to deliver daily content as well as deep-diving weekend stories for our website and 139 Georgia Press Association member newspapers, including 11 dailies and 128 weeklies.
