Texas Hill Country Reporter/Copy Editor

Victory Media has an immediate opening for a reporter who can build sources, dive into stories, and support other writers as a dedicated copy editor. Candidates must be able to write clear, concise content; meet deadlines; juggle multiple assignments; and plan ahead. Reporters with copy editing and strong AP Style knowledge preferred. This is a challenging yet fun position with an excellent news staff.

Ideal Candidate:

-One or more years of experience in news media

-Possesses basic photography skills

-Copyediting experience

-Strong AP Style knowledge

-Self-motivated

-Organized and able to meet deadlines

-Dedicated to fair and accurate reporting

-Can skillfully write both hard news and human interest stories

-Possesses a reliable vehicle covered with acceptable insurance and a valid driver's license

-Can work from the Marble Falls office

Salary & Benefits:

-Salary based on experience: $35,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year

-Job Type: Full-time

-Schedule: 8-hour shift

-Work Location: This is an in-office position that would require living in Marble Falls or one of its surrounding communities
