Description:
The Standard, a small-town newspaper in Westhope, North Dakota, is looking for a reporter to join our team. Our paper has a circulation of approximately 600, with plenty of room to grow. We're excited to invest in the right person to help us on that journey.
What You'll Do:
- Gather and report on local news
- Cover high school sporting events
- Attend and report on city council and school board meetings
- Engage with our community and highlight the stories that matter
What We're Looking For:
- A passion for local journalism and community storytelling
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Someone who is self-motivated, responsible, and able to work without direct supervision
- Someone to relocate to our community and be part of what we report on. Small town living at its finest.
