General Assignment reporter: The Daily Memphian is looking for a versatile journalist to join our team. The ideal candidate would have strong news judgment and excellent writing and story organization skills. They should be able to handle daily coverage on a variety of topics on an as-needed basis. Knowledge of Memphis and its various neighborhoods and communities is a definite plus as is a familiarity with the challenges facing Memphis and the Mid-South.

The GA reporter would live and work in Memphis; weekend events would be a part of the beat. The reporter would also need to adhere to all The Daily Memphian’s work policies, including in-person and remote work.
