The
Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette has
an opening for a reporter to cover
the city of Rogers. Areas of
responsibility also include coverage of health care as a science. The right
candidate for this position will develop sources, engage community leaders, and
be willing to learn. The reporter will cover news on the deadline and other
duties as assigned. This person also will develop features to give our readers
a sense of the people and places that make Rogers unique.
We’re
looking for a reporter who can tell stories on multiple platforms and is
comfortable on social media. The position requires some nights and occasional
weekend work and answers to the metro editor. A college degree is preferred,
but experience will also be considered. Working knowledge of the AP style and
principles of journalism is required. Experience at a college, weekly, or daily
publication is a plus.
