Kessler PR Group Is Hiring an Account Director
Kessler PR is an award-winning, highly regarded crisis communications firm specializing in reputation management, litigation support and media relations.
We seek a professional with 5-10 years’ experience in high-stress, fast-paced environments where deadlines matter. Social media expertise and superior online research skills are highly valued. Clean, compelling writing is a must. Our current team includes former journalists, attorneys, communications directors and public affairs professionals.
The position is full-time and hybrid, with three-to-four days in our Ocean Township, Monmouth County office. This is not negotiable. Because of this requirement, having residency in NJ is preferred. Compensation is commensurate with experience but generally above industry standards. Benefits are generous. Our highly collaborative team frowns on office politics and thrives on humor.
Our clientele includes healthcare systems; law firms and attorneys; municipal, county and state governments; politicians and other high-profile individuals; Fortune 100 and 500 corporations; nonprofits; schools, colleges and universities; religious institutions, athletes and professional sports teams.
Our clients hail from across the region, nation, and world. Because they face challenging issues that frequently become front page news and often involve litigation, our work demands strict confidentiality.
The Role
• Craft and edit strategic communications, social media copy, and occasional press releases
• Conduct research and monitor media across print, broadcast, and digital/social media platforms
• Initiate, cultivate and maintain working relationships with media and client referral partners
Desirable Skills and Attributes
• Strong writing, editing, and online research skills
• Social Media expertise across major platforms, including messaging techniques and algorithms
• News junkie, especially of NJ local and regional political news outlets and journalists
• Discretion, maturity, and highly developed business/professional social skills
• A sense of humor is a bonus; a big ego is not
