Description:
The Perry County Republic-Monitor has an immediate opening for a dedicated general assignment reporter to join its team.
The general assignment position will write news stories on a diverse variety of subjects, ranging from news and features to sports.
The Republic-Monitor is an award-winning, weekly community newspaper publishing news and information digitally, socially and in a weekly print publication serving a county of nearly 30,000. The successful candidate will be supported through mentoring, flexible hours and a mix of pitching stories and workshopping ideas with leadership and their peers.
The Republic-Monitor staff works in an office located in the heart of downtown Perryville, Mo., with ample access to everything the county has to offer, including outdoor adventures, a burgeoning entertainment district, cozy coffee shops and constant activities from which to fill a weekend to-do list.
