Description:
International Trade Today, the leading independent publication dealing with the news and information needs of customs brokers, importers, exporters and policymakers, seeks an enterprising reporter to write about customs and international trade issues, including trade disputes with China, efforts to address forced labor in supply chains, the effects of new technology on trade enforcement and shifts in the international trade industry.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated. They should be able to thrive in a daily deadline news environment and should have the judgment to decide what needs to be covered to inform an audience of top industry and government officials.
The successful applicant will be expected to write forward-looking stories on what’s happening behind the scenes at regulatory agencies and ports of entry related to the cross-border movement of cargo. They also will write longer-term and project-based stories.
