We need a bold and dynamic leader who can work in the trenches in evolving newsrooms that work every day to redefine, and refine, what local news looks like and how to deliver it to a finicky audience. We don’t sugarcoat things here, the job is a challenge, but done well you have the chance to have real impact and deliver excellent local journalism.

A change leader ready for a fast-paced, collaborative, deadline-driven environment, who understands content, analytics and newsroom management.
A solid editor
A proven strategist in digital growth and social engagement. You need to understand SEO, trending and service journalism.
Here’s the job:
Oversee daily news operations of two multimedia, digital-first newsrooms in Bucks County and South Jersey, managing staff, coordinating special projects, editing copy and developing stories and coverage plans
Implement digital growth strategy with focus on pageviews and subscribers
Coach and edit a team of about 12 news reporters covering suburban Philadelphia and South Jersey, captaining breaking news, analyzing metrics and implementing newsroom strategy
Work collaboratively within the USAT regional network
Manage staff of the Courier-Post, the Daily Journal, the Burlington County Times, the Bucks County Courier Times, and The Intelligencer
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree
Combination of education and experience relevant to journalism
Strong communication, planning and organizational skills
Exposure to and success in a deadline-driven environment
Social-media and SEO knowledge
Comfort with self-guided work as well as collaborative production
Command of journalism skills that lead to developing fair, balanced and accurate content in a publish-ready state
