Fully remote, contractor position, preferably Oklahoma-based

Streetlight is a nonprofit news site based in Oklahoma City. We cover housing, criminal justice and inequality. Streetlight’s mission is to imagine a more equitable world through journalism and to energize our readers to improve their communities.

Streetlight’s development operations contractor will assist our executive director with establishing and increasing efficiency in the organization’s fundraising systems. They will also assist with development operations duties that primarily include CRM management, donor communication and other administrative tasks to support development.

This position is grant-funded and projected to last three months.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage Salesforce database, including updating prospect files and conducting data analysis
  • Conduct prospect research and create briefs for prospect meetings
  • Assist with donor communications, including emails and quarterly reports to donors, and gift processing

Preferred qualifications:

  • Proficient in Salesforce or another CRM platform, Microsoft Office suite, Google Drive, WordPress and email newsletter platforms like Mailchimp
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant experience in a nonprofit development office
  • Experience and/or interest in journalism that benefits the public
  • Excellent research, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work individually or with a team
  • Committed to Streetlight’s mission to inform readers through public-interest journalism
