Metro reporter: The Daily Memphian – which Politico called “One of the best local news sites in the country” – is looking for an experienced journalist to join our team. The ideal candidate would have strong news judgment and excellent writing and story organization skills. They should be able to handle daily beat coverage in conjunction with weekly enterprise stories. Knowledge of Memphis and its various neighborhoods and communities is a definite plus, as is the ability to find stories in unlikely places and then tell those stories with compelling copy.

The metro reporter would live and work in Memphis; night and weekend events could make up a part of the beat. They will also need to adhere to all The Daily Memphian’s work policies, including in-person and remote work.
