We will.

We are trying to get a conversation started about the state of Journalism in the United States.

Our only real background requirement is that your resume clearly demonstrates that you have an actual, real interest (and personal investment) in journalism. So we are looking for everyone from seasoned veterans with 30 plus years of newspaper work under their belt to recent journalism school graduates who are actively seeking their first job, and everyone in between.

Our other requirement is that you actually want to be a part of this discussion. If you already actively post on the internet, (either in comment threads or on social media), and you are interested in the state of Journalism here in the United States, you are perfect for this job, and we would like to pay you for your thoughts.

The Job:

Be a part of the discussion. Each day for a month, either make a post or a thoughtful comment on someone else's post on singlepaynews.com. Generally discuss issues in the industry, and specifically cover whatever you want to talk about. Add your insight about the difference in working at a for-profit verses a non-profit. Report on anyone hiring staff, (or rumors of layoffs). Recent graduates are encouraged to seek career advice. Seasoned pros are encouraged to give it. Anything you think is relevant and interesting to your fellow journalists is fair game for a post or a comment.

Once you are comfortable with the discussion, you will also help us grow the discussion by sending an email inviting at least seven of your colleagues to join in.

We expect this will take only a few minutes of your time each day; and is something you are already doing on other websites for free.

If you help us get this conversation started, and invest a month of your participation, at the end of the month we will pay you $100.
