Want to explore what makes Baltimore interesting, vibrant, livable and challenging?

Want to learn how to make a news and features website come alive, and learn how to engage with readers?

Baltimore Fishbowl is offering a summer internship to a student journalist who wants to dig into the Baltimore region.

You’ll get a chance to work with experienced reporters and editors, and to tackle topics that interest you. You’ll learn about the city, our website and the state of journalism in the mid-Atlantic.

1.       A resume

2.       Three writing samples – preferably from a news publication

3.       A 400-word statement that describes, based on your review of our website, the types of stories you would want to cover for Baltimore Fishbowl, and how you would approach finding them.

Deadline for applications: April 15

The selected candidate will be notified by April 22.

The internship will run from May 28 to August 9.

Remote work and filing, but Baltimore region residency preferred.

Compensation: $2,000
