The Internship Program
The Hearst Magazines Summer Internship Program is a paid, full time 11-week program for undergraduate rising Juniors & Seniors. From June 3 – August 16, 2024, our interns will gain an immersive, hands-on experience with one of the top publishers in the world.
In addition to working with their assigned team on important projects, interns will gain access to Hearst’s diverse professional network by participating in intimate learning sessions and join fun peer networking activities throughout the summer. Program participants will also leverage Hearst’s resources to work on and present a group project to senior leaders at the conclusion of the program.
Your Impact
The Hearst Data Solutions team is responsible for data strategy, innovation, and application, with a focus on developing market-leading capabilities and ad products that deliver superior advertiser and consumer experiences.
In this role the Intern will work closely with other members of the Hearst Data Solutions team to support the sales, marketing, and activation processes. This role will contribute to materials for presentations, client deliverables and internal resources. In addition, the role will introduce the candidate to technical systems like a DMP, Google Ad Manager and Google Analytics.
What You'll Do
- Understand the customer need and support internal teams in establishing Hearst’s product and data capabilities as the best solution to solve the customer's challenges
- Partner with peers in the Data Solutions and Client Success organizations to address strategic business needs and support pre- and post-sale processes
- Help prepare materials for sales and marketing to use in client pitches
- Utilize data platforms to build, maintain and audit cohorts
Who You Are
- You are an expert in Excel
- You have strong PowerPoint/Keynote skills
- You have experience using Tableau or compatible BI tool
- SQL experience is preferred but not required
The estimated base salary for this role is $20/hour. The actual base pay offered is dependent upon many factors, such as transferable skills, work experience, business needs, market demands and conditions, including geographic location where the work will be performed, and other factors permitted by law. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
This role requires the position to be located in New York, NY with an in-office presence of 3 days a week.
