It is the Chicago-region's exclusive network for fans to view live Cubs games, features extensive pre and postgame coverage, exclusive Cubs content and other local sports programming. Marquee Sports Network brings together one of the most iconic sports franchises in the country with one of the largest television broadcasting companies to deliver unprecedented Cubs coverage for fans. Marquee is also the television home of the WNBA Chicago Sky, providing a variety of exciting coverage.
Marquee Sports Network has an immediate opening for a Broadcast Maintenance Engineer! We are looking for a creative and talented individual to join our team, supporting our all-IP production facility.
As Broadcast Maintenance Engineer, you would:
- Support live studio and remote productions, including Cubs games and pregame / postgame shows
- Provide technical support for our operations, production, and office staff
- Install and maintain cutting-edge broadcast video and audio equipment
- Work on exciting challenges that require creative technical solutions
- Other duties as assigned
Candidates will be required to have at least two years of work experience in a studio, TV station, or mobile production environment, supporting broadcast equipment including:
- Video cameras
- Production switchers
- Video/audio routers
- Encoders
- Audio mixers and microphones
- Intercom systems
Experience with video editing software, SMPTE 2110, DANTE audio, and IP networking is desirable but not required. Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is:
- A self-starter who works well with others
- Organized and a strong communicator
- Eager to learn new technologies and expand their skill set
As a sports network, our work schedule depends on the teams we cover, and you would be expected to participate in a rotation that includes evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
