A collaboration of El Paso news organizations is seeking a part-time coordinator for a project that looks at root causes of food insecurity in our region, and solutions for those causes. The contract position is for a year and will pay $20,000. We expect the coordinator to work about 8 hours per week on the project.

Members of the collaboration are El Paso Matters, ABC 7, Noticias 26, El Paso Inc., and Borderzine. The project leader will assist partners as needed with story planning, solutions approaches to the storytelling, possible collaboration with other partners, and ensuring that story approaches don’t significantly overlap.
Skills we seek in this position include:

- Previous experience in media collaborations.
- Deep understanding of the El Paso region.
- Familiarity with solutions journalism.
- Familiarity with multimedia storytelling approaches.
Our collaboration is committed to diversity and building an inclusive environment for people of all backgrounds and ages. We encourage members of traditionally underrepresented communities to apply, including women, people of color, LGBTQ people and people with disabilities.
