About the Team: ThinkAdvisor is a leading B2B publication serving registered investment advisors, broker-dealers, financial planners and life/health insurance agents. Our collegial team of editors and reporters is looking for a freelance copy editor.
About the role: Aside from editing articles for grammar, clarity and style, you will play a crucial role in substantive editing and fact checking as well as writing headlines and other display copy. A knack for writing catchy, compelling, accurate headlines is an absolute must.
The hours for this position are 1 to 5 p.m. Eastern time, Monday through Friday.
Qualifications:

Significant editing experience at a website, newspaper or magazine

Excellent line- and content-editing skills

A master of headlines, with the ability to find the hook that will draw readers from across referral sources

Understanding of the financial services and wealth management industry

Deadline-obsessed, with the ability to edit quickly as stories come in

Fluency in AP Style

Ability to work in WordPress
-
Familiarity with SEO best practices and basic HTML
