Description:
The Vacaville Reporter is looking for a News Editor to lead a team of reporters covering breaking news in Vacaville and the surrounding Solano County communities, along with stories both in print and online that will engage our audience. Come be a part of the experience!
What you will do:

Assigning and editing stories and checking news pages

Managing news budgets

Working cooperatively with our small team or journalists

Some local reporting required
What you will bring:

Journalism experience, AP style knowledge and the ability to quickly compile accurate reporting on a variety of topics

Spelling and grammar skills required

Experience working with various technologies for the position including PC laptops, digital cameras and recording equipment

Good people skills are necessary for conducting interviews with sources

Bachelor's degree preferred; experience in a professional journalism newsroom required

The annual salary is $64,480.00. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, time in role, certifications, etc. This role is eligible for a bonus based on performance.
