Associate Digital Producer / Video Editor

Description:

KMPH/KFRE has an exciting full-time opportunity for an Associate Producer (Digital)/Video Editor! This position is available for the right person with the right attitude and skillset. Willing to work early mornings. Position's primary duty is to write local stories for digital platforms and linear television but other duties include video editing, running studio cameras, prompter, audio, with the opportunity to also learn technical directing and directing of newscasts. Serve as a backup producer to other morning show producers as needed. 

Job responsibilities include:

• Primary duty is to write local stories for digital platforms and linear television
• Editing video for daily news coverage, special projects, and sweep period pieces
• Taking in news feeds from news bureaus and various news organizations
• Collaborating with anchors, reporters, and producers on video elements of newscasts
• Meeting daily deadlines in a high-energy working environment

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Some College or minimum one year relative experience in the field
• Knowledge of Avid Media Composer and Adobe Photoshop
• Ability to work with a multitude of people and personalities while maintaining a professional work environment

The base hourly compensation range for this role is $16.00 to $17.00 per hour. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidates' relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
