Social Media/In-Print Writer
Are you a strong team player? Then we want to meet you! Our 90-plus-year-old trade publishing company (monthly magazine and two bi-monthly tabloid newspapers) in Memphis, TN, seeks a strong writer, proficient in AP Style but flexible and willing to follow our niche publishing style, enjoys the challenge of multiple projects/deadlines and leaves no fact unchecked. Heavy phone & email use in this job. You will be expected to navigate within photoshop, Microsoft Office, Outlook, contribute to our strong social media presence, including Facebook, Instagram and MailChimp and learn our proprietary software. All tasks are assigned by the editor on various deadlines. We work M-F, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. This is not a remote position. We offer a benefits package, including health insurance, vacation and generous holiday time off. Bachelor’s degree in journalism preferred. Three years or more experience. Salary range: $45k-$50K.
