The Kennebec Journal newspaper in Augusta, Maine, is seeking an enterprising and energetic journalist to join its reporting staff for the paper and Centralmaine.com. This reporter will cover general interest news and geographic beats, while devoting time to important regional issues and enterprise projects. This reporter will also have an opportunity to develop a topic-based beat informed by their interests and the paper's coverage needs. The reporter must have: excellent reporting and writing skills; a sense of urgency to beat the competition on developing news; comfort with a digital-first environment; a proven ability to file stories on deadline; and experience rounding out stories with depth and context.
