Description:
Columbia-Greene Media is seeking a news reporter to join an award-winning team of journalists working on the cutting edge of news coverage at our two daily newspapers in New York's Hudson Valley.
Candidates should have a degree in journalism, communications, writing or English, or relevant work experience. Previous writing experience is required.
A solid knowledge of grammar is required, along with the ability to write clear, concise copy. Applicants must be proficient in AP style, social media, have strong critical-thinking skills and be adept at photography and videography.
Duties include reporting through a variety of media platforms, producing fast write-ups on breaking news for our website, along with in-depth news stories. Candidates should be comfortable communicating with a diverse population and have the ability to multitask.
