Description:
The award-winning Fredericksburg Standard-Radio Post is seeking an experienced, full-time reporter to cover general assignments, government, business and features.
The winning applicant will get a taste of many newsroom duties, including newscasts, podcasts, photography and website work. The position is part of six-person news team that produces a top-performing newspaper and quality magazines. We are looking for a positive, organized self-starter with a passion for community journalism and an eye toward the future of the industry. Must have good communication skills, a nose for feature and business stories, and reliable transportation. Digital media, email, social media skills needed.
Occasional weekend and night work, as well as some layout and online design (will train).
