Description:
We are looking for an Editor in Southwest Ohio, only fifteen minutes north of Dayton.
This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the newsroom. Strong skills in editing and story development are required, together with the ability to manage and coach a staff six reporters.
Qualified candidates should be knowledgeable with technology and how to provide news and information on all digital platforms as well as producing a quality print edition. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field and at least a minimum of two years journalism experience with a proven ability in reporting and writing.
The ability to work independently under deadline pressure and prioritize tasks is a must. Candidate needs to possess good news judgement, with a nose for news and a sense of timely reporting and understanding of the methods and tools used to deliver content across a variety of platforms.
