Description:

Rapidly growing Construction focused tech startup is looking for an energetic freelance writer to join the team. We believe there is a real lack of thought leadership and quality content in our industry and we are aiming to become the leading content authority on human resources, payroll and project management within the Construction industry.

This is an opportunity to join the team early and work directly with the CEO in setting the strategy and writing key articles to grow our blog and community. We are looking for freelance writers that can produce at least 2 well researched articles per week (2000+ words).

This will be an ongoing project. We expect it to take some time for a writer to truly understand our business and industry. We want to invest in a long-term working relationship that will help you produce the best and high-quality content possible.

The style we’re looking for is:

- Easy to read

- Professional but not too serious

- Short sentences and paragraphs

- Heavy use of visual media such as images, video links, infographics and tables to explain a topic (note: you are not expected to produce the visual media)

- Actionable

The style would be similar to the Backlinko blog.

You don't need to have any prior experience in construction or HR to be a good fit, so don't worry if this isn't in your current wheelhouse.

Please send the following with your proposal:

  • Resume

  • Why this is interesting to you

  • Any writing samples you have (Bonus if they’re about B2B topics, Construction, or HR)

  • Your availability
