Job Description
The Reporter-Telegram is looking for the right person to connect with a younger audience about things happening, places to eat and drink and businesses to frequent.
We are looking for an entertainment and “culture” reporter with a digital-first mindset and the ability to juggle multiple projects at one time. Midland is a community where the median age is 31 and where there is more to eat than just Tex-Mex. We want a reporter to help our readers experience what is available.
This is a high readership position, and the reporter will be responsible for multiple features a week. There will be opportunities for long-form writing, alternative story formats and visual journalism.
Experience is preferred but entry-level candidates (including college graduates) with demonstrated ability will be considered. Ability to speak Spanish is a plus.
Send a resume, cover letter and clips or portfolio to Editor Stewart Doreen (sdoreen@hearstnp.com). Please contact Stewart Doreen at 432-352-0605 with questions.
