Work for us from anywhere in the United States … from the comfort of your home. Our copy desk and pagination teams work remotely. We are looking for someone with newspaper experience to design and paginate news pages for our publications. Times-Journal, Inc. publishes several daily and weekly newspapers in Georgia and is seeking a dedicated page designer with an eye for detail and a knack for headline-writing.
The Times Journal Common Copy Desk serves as a hub for all of the company’s print products, paginating dailies, weeklies, monthlies and special sections. Publications include the Marietta Daily Journal, Rome News-Tribune, Cherokee Tribune and Morgan County Citizen and 10 others.
Knowledge of AP style and grammar is preferable while a working knowledge of InDesign and Photoshop is a necessity. Duties include pagination, headline writing and proofreading.
This is an evening position with the opportunity for four-day workweeks (four 10-hour days). The designer will also be required to work some weekends and holidays as needed.
If you are creative, driven and love pagination, you might be a good fit on our copy desk. Benefits include company health and dental insurance, vacation and 401k savings.
Send your resume, a cover letter and two samples of your pagination work to Copy Desk Chief Philip Clements at email@example.com.
