The Santa Fe New Mexican is looking for a magazines editor who can plan and execute many of the newspaper's special products throughout the year. Our magazines highlight what life offers in the City Different.
The perfect candidate will be able to work with a team of freelancers who can write, copy edit and design — and use their specific talents and the central part of our production. We have the tools you'll need to get the job done.
You’ll be key to idea generation, honing content, planning art, photos and graphics, plus make sure multiple magazines are on schedule to print. Expand your creativity.
You’ll hire and manage freelance contractors, plus work with the newspaper’s advertising, photography and editorial staffs. Brainstorming with your team will be critical.
Several of The New Mexican’s magazines, including those that run in tandem with the city’s well-known arts events, are award-winners. These are not your average pieces - they're often keepers.
You’ll be a critical part of the newspaper’s overall success and will have the opportunity to propose and create innovation that will be critical to our next 10 years. Get the pulse of the community and create what they want and need.
Salary is negotiable. Send your cover letter, résumé and examples of your best work to: Phill Casaus, Editor, Santa Fe New Mexican, firstname.lastname@example.org. No calls, please.
The New Mexican offers a comprehensive and competitive compensation package and is an equal opportunity employer.
