Description:
The Northeast Georgian, a twice-weekly community newspaper in Habersham County, Ga., is looking for a community journalist who can be a part of a vibrant news team as our sports editor. We’re looking for storytellers who are passionate about community journalism, folks who really like the idea of living in a growing, vibrant community surrounded by Nature (while less than an hour from all that metro Atlanta has to offer). Successful candidates should have a college degree. Experience in photography and page layout (we use InDesign and Photoshop) is a major plus. We need someone with great instincts and the perseverance to dig for information, someone who can write clean, accurate copy, and take terrific sports photos and more.
