The Bismarck Tribune, the newspaper in the capital city of North Dakota, is seeking a full-time reporter to cover local government and education in Bismarck and its sister city, Mandan.
The successful candidate will also cover a variety of general assignment stories and contribute to weekend centerpieces and special projects. The Tribune is looking for someone who will find the story behind the story; someone who doesn’t wait for a press conference to get the news. We’re looking for a reporter who will dig deeper than meeting coverage and develop sources to stay ahead of developing stories.
We’d prefer someone with at least two years of reporting experience but will consider recent college graduates with strong internships. The newsroom emphasizes professional development opportunities to help reporters grow.
The Tribune is a member of Lee Enterprises and offers a full benefits package including medical, dental, a generous paid time off program and a 401k plan.
