Sinclair is launching NEW National Digital News division to realize the full potential of their 100M Monthly Unique O&O Digital News portfolio. The Director of Sales will work in partnership with the SVP of Sales - National News Digital to launch the brand and sales team to the marketplace.

Sinclair is launching NEW National Digital News division to realize the full potential of their 100M Monthly Unique O&O Digital News portfolio.  The Director of Sales will work in partnership with the SVP of Sales - National News Digital to launch the brand and sales team to the marketplace. They will be responsible for identifying, soliciting, developing, and negotiating sales opportunities with potential partners (both client and agency) across Sinclair’s Digital News Products (X number of Station Sites + NewsON). 

The Director of Sales focus is on generating larger partnership, content, and sponsorship opportunities for advertisers across digital, social, linear, and/or experiential platforms. This position reports to the SVP of Sales, National News Digital, based out of NY.


Daily Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Working closely with SVP of Sales, generate and close national partnership, media & branded content sales opportunities for National News Brands
  • Build out team with the hiring of AE’s, planners, and Sales Assistants
  • Identify and develop proposals to potential partners (both client and agency)
  • Identify and develop proposals to potential partners (both client and agency)
  • Collaborate with various Sinclair internal teams (other sales business units, marketing, production, business development, programming, editorial, social) to identify, evolve, and create sales opportunities
  • Partner with third party brands, companies, and vendors to create unique partnership opportunities for Sinclair National News Team
  • Oversee campaign execution process to ensure client success and drive renewal/growth opportunities

 

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in media/advertising (sales or agency), preferably in content and/or digital
  • Proven track record of selling/executing integrated client partnerships
  • Self-starter who approaches work in a collaborative way
  • Passionate about media with ability to create and bring creative ideas to client partners and internal teams
  • Ability to be a consummate team player and a goal-oriented thinker
  • Strong analytical and organizational qualities
  • Excellent written and presentation skills
  • Proficient in MS Office applications
