DefenseScoop seeks an experienced reporter to cover the U.S. Department of Defense’s transformation into a digital-age force.

The ideal candidate has a deep background covering defense, national security and military matters, and is well versed in the operations of the DOD and how it has positioned technology as a central part of its National Defense Strategy. We’re looking for a relationship-oriented, digital storyteller hungry to break news and tell stories about the people, culture, technologies, concepts and trends that will define the future of defense. This role is based in Washington, D.C.

Technology is no longer just an enabler of mission for military services and defense agencies — it is the mission. 

In joining DefenseScoop, you will have the exciting opportunity to help launch and shape the publication, the newest under the award-winning Scoop News Group brand, which has developed industry-leading news sites like FedScoop, CyberScoop and StateScoop over the past 13 years.
