Summary:
The Deputy Editor, Wake Forest Magazine (WFM) works under minimal supervision and oversees the quality and production of Class Notes across online, print, and emerging platforms. Monitors and mines Wake Forest University archives for content that will enrich the magazine’s coverage. Works with the designers and magazine team to ensure that the website, print product, and social media engage readers with varied forms of content. Sets and enforces deadlines for the Class Notes production schedule. Prepares, formats, and copy edits magazine content, proposals, and contracts. Manages business side of the magazine, handling budget, expenses, invoices, and contracts and spending requests to keep the magazine operating well and efficiently. This position also researches, writes, and proofreads magazine content in print and online. The ideal candidate will have a head for the magazine craft.
