Description:
Courthouse News Service, a California-based news service, is seeking a reporter to cover civil court filings at the USDC Washington D.C. federal courthouse. A legal background is not required, but demonstrated interest and ability in writing or journalism is necessary.
The job will entail going to the DC Federal courthouse every weekday to review and summarize new civil filings. The reporter will also be expected to pitch and write news stories about happenings in the DC courts and the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals. Competitive pay is offered for about 40 hours per week, and some benefits are available.
