The Dallas Morning News is seeking a tenacious and thoughtful reporter to cover the exciting and ever-evolving world of food and restaurants in North Texas. This full-time, salaried staff position will include both urgent daily food news reporting as well as analytical, revelatory enterprise stories that pull the curtain back on the restaurant business, explain complicated food systems, and address the role of food in demographic patterns, economics, community and more.
This writer will be experienced in developing sources and engaging with their audiences, and this role would provide an opportunity to develop a critical voice. Being a team player and quick communicator is a must. He or she will work alongside food writer Sarah Blaskovich and will report to Food Editor Erin Booke.
This position is union eligible. Candidates must be willing to relocate to North Texas.
