Sportswriter for the Ketchikan Daily News. Become part of this active Southeast Alaska island community, primarily covering Ketchikan HIgh School teams competing at the Alaska 4A level (large schools) in basketball (2019 state champions!), baseball, softball, soccer, cross-country, volleyball, swimming/diving, wrestling, and track and field. We also cover sports at other age levels, in addition to local club running races and events such as the Race to Alaska (R2AK). A successful candidate would have solid writing skills and the ability to communicate well with coaches and athletes. Transportation to and from events is available.
