The Gabber Newspaper, a Gulfport, Florida hyperlocal weekly newspaper that covers South Pinellas County, seeks an editor-in-chief to manage its weekly print paper and daily digital news. Our editor oversees all content, including two weekly and one monthly newsletters, and manages two staff reporters (a full-time and one part-time reporter) and several freelancers.
If this all sounds great, send your resume to email@example.com. Please be prepared to start work, on site, no later than January 1. Our current EIC is leaving under good terms and will assist with the transition. Bonus points for diverse candidates, candidates who live in Gulfport or so close they can touch it, and candidates who get excited about how to tell small stories in new ways. Please familarize yourself with the paper before you interview with us. This job does not include healthcare, but we offer free breakfast and lunch at a local restaurant. We know it's not the same, but the avocado toast is really tasty. We look forward to meeting you.
