ASSOCIATE EDITOR/ PROJECT LEADER – TMT- Enterprise Technology

OTR aggregates, compares and contrasts extensive marketplace data and prepares research reports for institutional investors. Sources are interviewed via telephone, typically on a quarterly basis, which subsequently provides the basis for OTR reports. OTR's mission is to aggregate information from sources, compare it with expectations and look for dislocations or inflection points that provide investment opportunities for our clients.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
OTR Global's Enterprise Technology group is looking for an Associate Editor to join its global team. The individual in this role should be adept at covering a broad array of topics within the tech industry, and will lead ongoing coverage of several research topics, including quarterly reports and topical interim notes. Key research coverage responsibilities for each topic include directly engaging with industry sources via in-depth phone interviews, coordinating research process and project teams of researchers in different geographies, analyzing findings and compiling clear and concise research reports, as well as communicating with various internal and external stakeholders throughout the process.
The Associate Editor needs to be creative, curious, and most of all determined to build a dependable list of contacts often viewed as difficult to reach - typically enterprise tech companies’ implementation partners, resellers and distributors, and other high-level individuals - and maintain those relationships over time. Analytical thinking, ability to connect the dots and think strategically about market trends implications are critical skills for this role. Clear and concise communication skills are also important aspects of this role. Associate Editor will work closely with researchers in the Global Enterprise Technology Team including the Managing Editor, Director of Enterprise Technology, and other researchers to provide relevant and timely marketplace intelligence.
