The successful candidate will be skilled at writing eye-catching, SEO headlines and editing articles for optimal results online and in print. The position requires a sharp eye for detail while editing for content, grammar and length as well as ensuring accuracy and clarity. Checking facts and correcting errors before articles are published are a must. Experience with social media and online trends is a plus.
The ideal candidate will have earned a bachelor’s degree and have 2 to 5 years of news headline-writing and copy-editing experience. The ability to write clean and concise copy and to meet daily digital and print deadlines is a must. Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills and a proven ability to meet competing deadlines are necessary.
