General Assignment Reporter

Description:

The Cherokee Tribune is seeking a general assignment reporter. We are looking for a journalist who gets it right and understands the importance of the local newspaper in its community. We want a shoe-leather journalist who chases down policy makers, files on deadline and does so with a positive attitude.

Reporting, writing and photography skills are necessary. Experience and knowledge of digital media is a plus. The Cherokee Tribune is a family-owned, award-winning newspaper serving Cherokee County. The Tribune publishes three days a week and is online 24/7. We also publish the Cherokee Ledger-News, which goes to print weekly. Send resume and three writing samples to sballew@cherokeetribune.com.
