Description:

For centuries humanity has sought to understand our place in the cosmos. Yet an Enigma remains in the skies above. It deserves our attention and collective intelligence. For the first time, we have the tools to answer this question.

We are Enigma Labs — an anonymous group of hackers, engineers, physicists, investigative journalists and entrepreneurs who have worked across space tech, aviation, data science, government, news and private intelligence.

We are building the first global data and media platform advancing the public understanding of UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon) and securely connecting private UAP experts.

Unidentified Aerial Phenomena (UAPs) have received serious and deep coverage in outlets like the New York Times, New Yorker, and POLITICO. We want to build on this body of work with a full-time editorial staff and dedicated coverage. We are hiring an experienced and resourceful investigative reporter to:

• Take on ambitious long-form UAP stories with national resonance

• Expand our sources across the airforce, navy, science, commercial and private pilots, advanced tech, government and intelligence communities

• Partner with our international correspondents, internal researchers, archivists, and data science teams

• Report to the Editor in Chief

Qualifications:

• We are looking for candidates who have previously produced original, revelatory, in-depth stories and have demonstrated dedication to digging for information.

• Professional journalism experience required.

• We especially value experience in aerospace, national security, defense, or science reporting.

• Our ideal candidate for the role has at least five years of reporting experience, but we are open to exceptional candidates with less experience.
