The Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University—one of the nation’s premier professional journalism and strategic communications programs—is seeking a high school programs coordinator to engage high-school students (and their teachers and advisers) as part of its recruitment team. During the academic year, the coordinator will travel the state visiting Arizona high schools virtually and in person, engaging students with programming that highlights education and career opportunities in media. In summer, the coordinator will host a diverse range of camps and enrichment programs such as our Summer Journalism Institute, Media Innovation Camp and Sports Broadcast Boot Camp, where students work with Cronkite faculty to gain hands-on experience. Ultimately, the high school programs coordinator assumes responsibility for our relationships with high schools and high schoolers across the country, and collaborates with the recruitment team to drive diverse and strategic enrollment at the Cronkite School. As the School seeks to grow its enrichment programs and its student community, we seek a passionate, energetic leader with an entrepreneurial spirit to drive this expansion and who is committed to fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment.
