Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR Manager to work in a growing tech organization--Sinclair Digital. We create world-class media solutions that serve our audience with relevant and compelling news, entertainment, and sports content. Our products power over 170 news sites, the Tennis Channel, Comet TV, 70 News Apps, and more, all with purpose--to serve our communities with thought-provoking content.

 

While no day will ever be the same, you will lead a small HR Team and you will have your hands in a variety of HR functions (including but not limited to):

  • Providing high quality customer service support on HR business processes and operations, HR systems and special projects
  • Serving as coach and advisor to people managers and leaders on HR matters
  • Advising employees on eligibility, coverage and other benefits matters
  • Conducting meaningful onboarding experiences for new employees and offboard appropriately
  • Participating in benefits administration to include open enrollment, change reporting and employee communications
  • Managing compensation, leave administration and workers compensation
  • Providing support with training, employee relations matters and recruiting/hiring
  • Complying with all federal, state and local employment regulations
  • Interpretation and application of policies and procedures
  • Personnel recordkeeping - maintain confidential personnel and other HR records
  • Assisting with training in HR processes and procedures
  • Lead and develop HR department staff members
  • Facilitate training for leadership and management team
  • Conduct investigations as needed
  • Other tasks / projects as assigned
     

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree PHR or SHRM-CP a plus
  • 5+ years of related HR experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, strong knowledge of SharePoint is a plus
  • Experience with HR systems, such as Oracle HRIS, a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with various levels of management and employees
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge and experience in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, recruitment, organization development, employee relations, safety, employee engagement, and employee development
  • Outstanding interpersonal relationship building and employee coaching skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop HR department staff members
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the executive management team that provides overall company leadership and direction
  • General knowledge of various employment laws and practices 
  • Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources recognition and engagement programs and processes
  • Evidence of the ability to practice and coach organization managers in the practice of a high level of confidentiality
  • Excellent organizational management skills
