Are you a gifted storyteller with a curiosity streak as wide as the Colorado River? Then we want to hear from you.

The Glenwood Springs Post Independent seeks someone to take on an unusually blended beat: education and arts and entertainment.

On the education side, you would focus on telling the stories of students, teachers and take a look at big picture issues: How many students are graduating with bilingual certifications? How has the USDA’s free lunch for all affected families and students? You would also provide critical election coverage leading up to our school board elections in November.

On the arts and entertainment side, you would dive into the wonderful world of live music, visual arts and more that runs throughout the Colorado River and Roaring Fork valleys. From the Ute Theater in Rifle to the Carbondale CreativeDistrict, Garfield County bristles with creative energy.
