Editor, Breaking Defense

Breaking Defense, the world’s largest news organization dedicated to defense, seeks a new addition to our superb editorial team. This is a great growth opportunity for a highly prestigious international media brand.

The new editor will serve as a key part of the editorial process, working with reporters directly to help craft and produce stories around the world of defense. The successful candidate will have experience in editing traditional journalism, paired with an awareness and appreciation of the modern media dynamic.

Ideal attributes: 3+ years experience in journalism minimum. Awareness of defense issues and enthusiasm for the national security milieu is ideal, but the biggest requirements are editorial chops, and an aptitude and desire to learn the topic. The role requires high levels of focus and energy, tech savviness, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt in a collaborative team environment.
