Roundtable Research is looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Managing Editor to help the editorial team make sure our free and paid newsletters go out error-free. This position will report to the Editor in Chief.
How you'll spend your 9-to-5:
We're busy (and growing), so grab a paddle... We'll need you to hunt and destroy errors in spelling, grammar, word choice, style, and formatting. You'll fact-check anything and everything we publish, work closely with the editorial and layout teams, format Word and Excel documents for publication, and tackle the occasional one-off project.
What we need:
Does it drive you nuts to see a typo in the Baltimore Sun? Do you have a close eye for detail, a strong work ethic, and the desire to make a real difference on a team? If so, you might just be our ideal candidate...
We want someone who can juggle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously – a self-starter who can work independently or collaborate within a team. And while we don't necessarily need you to remember everything you learned in AP Calc, it would help if you have some basic math skills.
What we want:
Ideally, you have a four-year degree in English or journalism – or at the very least, you're the person who your friends ask to look over their cover letters. We're looking for someone who knows what "AP style" means. Bonus points if you have a basic understanding of HTML and experience (or interest) in investing.
