AIM Media Texas is seeking to employ a full-time entertainment editor to lead the editorial efforts of a Rio Grande Valley entertainment magazine and its online platforms. Applicants should be self-starters who are passionate about community entertainment news and multimedia.
This individual will be tasked with nurturing the creative vision, voice and character of lively and engaging content and products with a hyperlocal focus on the South Texas region.
Based in McAllen, Texas, the entertainment editor will also be responsible for managing a reliable workflow — whether part of a team or working independently — while identifying, developing and producing entertainment stories, features, columns and more across a variety of print, online and multimedia platforms.
Maintaining standards of quality that mark these products as enjoyable, reputable and trustworthy for the audience is paramount.
A minimum of three to five years experience and a bachelor’s degree in journalism or communications or a related field are preferred.
