BridgeTower Media is a leading publisher of niche newspapers with properties across the country. We provide legal and business professionals with news and analysis specific to their practices and their markets. Our daily and weekly papers are digital-first and dedicated to our audiences.

We are seeking an experienced and versatile journalist to write for two of our award-winning newspapers, North Carolina Lawyers Weekly and South Carolina Lawyers Weekly. The position is based out of Raleigh, NC. For the time being our newsroom is still working from home, but the reporter can expect to cover our state's appellate courts and legislature in person as soon as they resume normal operations.

The reporter will develop assigned beats, cultivate sources throughout both states, and generate enterprise story ideas. He or she will write stories for daily publication online and weekly publication in print, serving a community of readers that cares deeply about the stories we publish.

The ideal candidate will possess good news judgment and be able to write about complex topics in a clear, concise, and engaging writing style. Past experience writing about the law is valuable, but above all, we are looking for a reporter with a voracious curiosity and a willingness to learn.

The position presents the opportunity to write about the law and courts, state-level politics, business trends, technology, and more.

To apply, please submit your resume, references, and three clips/samples.

We offer a competitive compensation package along with a generous benefits program.

BridgeTower Media and all subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity Employers and value diversity in our workplace.
