Air Force Magazine is seeking a full-time Digital Editor to join our dynamic news team reporting on the U.S. Air Force, U.S. Space Force, and national defense. We are editorially independent, and our traffic is growing rapidly. Air Force Magazine and www.AirForceMag.com are published by the Air Force Association, a 501c(3) nonprofit organization, and we are editorially independent.
The successful candidate will work closely with the news editor to edit and post content to airforcemag.com, build and send breaking news alerts, and maintain and monitor our digital content, and will contribute as well to our original reporting. We're looking for a creative, committed pro, who knows news when s/he sees it and can help improve the work of others. Knowledge of AP style, familiarity with WordPress and Google Analytics, social media fluency, familiarity with e-mail platforms, and the ability to troubleshoot problems and stay calm under pressure are paramount. Ability to shoot and edit videos a plus.
This is a job for a self-starter who can produce timely, effective content with a commitment to quality and accuracy, who is also comfortable working with a team and able to meet both daily and monthly deadlines.
